Today, we’re going to talk about a topic not often mentioned. We’re going to talk about Toilets! Every condo and loft in Downtown San Diego has a toilet. Some downtown San Diego condos have generic toilets while some have fancy ones with heated seats and automatic flush. Whichever the toilet, each home has them to use.
Public Restrooms around downtown San Diego are hard to find because there aren’t that many. This past Wednesday, there is now one more public restroom located in the East Village at L and 14th street. This ain’t your normal porta potty! This bad boy cost $400k each. Wowzers! The Girls Think Tank and the city of San Diego were able to make this happen.
The Portland Loo has many cool features that should be worth the cost. This restroom is built in all metal that is graffiti proof. There are also open slots at the top and bottom of the structure that will help prevent crime.
The city is looking to include more public restrooms around downtown San Diego but we don’t know when or where the next one will be.
