Manchester Purchases 49% of Old Sempra Building

Sempra Energy Former BuildingDoug Manchester loves San Diego and has purchased himself into a partnership with current owner of the old Sempra Energy building. Manchester purchased 49% ownership of the current building that’s located at Ash and First. Sandor Shapery has owned the building since 1993 and says he’s excited to work with Manchester for the first time.

The old Sempra building stands 19 stories high with 350,331 square foot of space.  Manchester purchased 49% from a previous investor for $20 million.

At this time, both are exploring the possibilities of what type of real estate in downtown San Diego will best suit this building. They have mentioned it being a hotel or office space or residential living. Whatever will come out of this building, I’m sure it will do very well in return $.

Manchester is a huge player in real estate here in San Diego. He has helped shape our city to what it is today.
