I’ve never heard of a cat café before but it doesn’t surprise me that an owner such as Tony Wang would open one. On December 22, 2014, the Cat Café opened at 472 3rd avenue in Downtown San Diego’s Marina District.
At the Cat Café, you can order your coffee and a bite to eat and then go play with the cats in a room next door. This concept was introduced in Taiwan and then Oakland opened the first one in the United States.
The cats are from the Human Society and all the cats are up for adoption. What a great concept to help cats get adopted from the local shelters.
