Where is the new Chargers stadium going to be located in San Diego? There are 2 options currently. One would be in Downtown San Diego located in the East Village. This may also be tied into the Convention Center expantion. The second location would be to have it on the same site where it currently exists.
To me, I don’t care where it goes as long as the Chargers stay in San Diego. It would be cool to have them move downtown but maybe I’m bias because I work downtown?
Mayor Kevin Faulconer mentioned in his speech, during his State of the City address, that he’s going to have a “real plan” for the city to vote on. He’s having civic leaders look into both possible sites and come up with the best plan by this fall.
Image if the Chargers came downtown. There will be more condos in Downtown San Diego built and the whole area south/east of Icon and Park Terrace would blow up!
