Condos and Lofts in the Gaslamp District, San Diego

Below are Complexes in the Gaslamp District:

Samuel Fox Lofts

Samuel Fox Lofts is located on the southeast corner of 6th and Broadway and is the only historical Condo development in the Gaslamp District. This property was once a men’s clothing store that was built in 1929. Later this complex became an apartment complex and then converted to lofts for sale in 2006.   These lofts range from 770 square feet to 1450 with 15’ tall ceilings. This complex has a true loft feel with exposed pipes and ducting. There is a roof top patio for residences to use with a bbq and wonderful downtown views. There also is a private resident on the top floor that was added during the conversion. There are no balconies at this Samuel Fox Lofts. With only 23 units, these lofts are rarely available so let me set you up to receive an email as soon as one comes available. Don’t miss out!!

Lofts at 777

Lofts at 777 is located on the corner of 6th and F street. This is a 4 story complex that has 103 condos and lofts that was completed in 2005. These are affordably priced properties considering the location within downtown San Diego. There are 24 different floor plans within the complex from studios to platform lofts to true 1 and 2 bedroom condos. Some properties have 9 foot ceilings where a few have 15 foot ceilings. The hoa fees are also lower than average around downtown. Some properties do have patios where others might not.

Alta

Alta is the only high rise complex in the Gaslamp district that’s located on the corner of 6th and Market street. There are 179 condos and lofts within the complex that range from studios to Penthouse options on the 21s floor. Alta was developed in 2007 by an Australian developer; Anka. They also developed Aria that’s located in the Cortez Hill district. All the amenities are located on the 2nd floor. There is a swimming pool that’s facing south direction with a hot tub as well. They also have a very nice fitness center along with an amenity room with a pool table, TV and seating area. Alta is more of a contemporary style complex that was completed in 2007.

Trelllis

Trellis is a great option if you want to live in the heart of the Gaslamp District. It’s located on K street in between 6th and 7th street. There are 149 condos ranging from studios in the 400 sqft range to 1bed, 1+ den and 2bedroom properties. I’ve always been a fan of the 1+den and some of these properties have Awesome skyline views that will last forever!!! You can’t say that with all properties. Trellis has there amenities on the 2nd floor with a fitness center and a large patio in between the 2 towers that has a bbq and seating. The east tower is 11 stories tall while the west tower is only 6 stories tall. Trellis was completed in 2005.

Gaslamp City Square

Gaslamp City Square is also another great complex if you want to be in the heart of the Gaslamp District. There are 191 condos and townhomes that surround a courtyard on the 2nd floor. The courtyard has a swimming pool and hot tub and also a couple barbeques with seating around. Gaslamp City Square was built in 2006 and is 7 stories tall. There are 13 floor plans from studios to 1bedroo, 2bedroom and townhomes. The only patios are on the 2nd floor facing the patio otherwise you have a Romeo & Juliet patio; basically a door that sides open to get fresh air.
